Omicron has caused a surge in Covid-19 infection throughout the world, especially in the United States and Europe. The US recorded more than 512,000 cases on Tuesday, a one-day surge in the highest since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
Omicron variants from Coronavirus have brought havoc in many parts of the world, especially the United States and Europe. In the US and Britain, it has become a dominant strain, overthrow Delta.
The US recorded more than 500,000 cases in one day on Tuesday, the highest single-day surge since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. The total case has exceeded 54 million.
Europe has also graped with the increasing case of Covid-19 because the omicron variant spread rapidly. Heavy mutable tensions are believed to be more resistant to existing vaccines.
Thailand has 700 cases, South Korea has more than 500 and Japan, more than 300. China, which has some of the most stringent viral controls in the world, has reported at least eight.
Only four cases have been reported in the Philippines, where people flock to shopping centers ahead of Christmas and masses in the largest Rome Catholic country in Asia.
Taiwan, where wearing almost universal facial masks in big cities, has begun offering booster shots from Moderna vaccine and urges people to get third shots before the entry of people who returned home at the end of January.
The situation in India
In India, it has returned to normal after the Covid-19 outbreak that destroys earlier this year. Although omicron cases rise in this country, it is still below alarming level in other parts of the world. So far, more than 700 Omicron cases have been reported in almost 1.4 billion countries.
