Kabul: A Taliban commander suspected of using a military helicopter to bring a newly married woman bride. He flew the bride from Logar to Khost Province, in East Afghanistan, using a helicopter, according to media reports.
The figure of Talibani is referred to as the commander of the Haqqani branch of the Taliban on social media, claiming the local media of Afghanistan, Khaama Press.

In a video that became viral on social media, the commander was seen landing near the bride’s house. The commander was allegedly giving his father -in -law 1,200,000 Afghanistan as a dowry with his daughter’s rewards in marriage, in accordance with the media portal.

The source close to Ani claimed that he lived in Khost and that his wife’s house was in the Barki Barak District in Logar.

The incident occurred on Saturday, in the Shah Mazar region in the Barkki Barak District in Logar Province, the source said.

However, defending the commander, Deputy Spokesperson of the Taliban, Qari Yusuf Ahmadi, argued that the accusation was wrong. He further mentioned comments about the commander as “enemy propaganda”. He added that the Afghan Islamic Emirates rejected the allegations of military helicopters used by the Talibani Commander.

People on social media register their protests over viral videos. They condemned the action and said that it was a striking public property abuse.

The Taliban is famous for a strong action against women’s rights. The list of Taliban violations of women and girls’ rights has been long and continues to grow, said Heather Barr, the division of women’s rights in Human Rights Watch (HRW), when he raised concerns about violations of rights in the country.

When the Taliban announced in May that women and girls could not leave their home unless needed and had to do it only with their whole body including their closed faces, only a few were surprised.

“Some other Afghan diplomats and observers who listen to Taliban leaders promised during negotiations and at their press conference two days after winning capital that they would respect all women’s rights this time, including freedom of movement and access to work and education,” Barr said.

He said the Afghan Women’s Rights activist warned so far that the promises of the Taliban to respect the rights of women were wrong. Afghan rights activists warned on days after the Taliban took the capital, Kabul, on August 15, 2021, that the group would intensify their hard actions against women.

Since the takeover of the Taliban, there have been many statements that condemn their abuse from international and regional organizations and countries.
