Six arrested for Bajrang Dal leader Harsha’s murder in Karnataka

Six people have been arrested in connection with Bajrang Dal Leader Harsha Murder Case in Shivamogga while some major ones, a senior police officer said on Tuesday, February 22, when the incident deviated burning and violence was reported in the city. Harsha, a 28-year-old child, was stabbed to death on Sunday night which led to the training order clamp even when the city witnessed burning, violence and throwing stones. The district government has extended the curfew to Friday. Dr. Selvamani District Commissioner said on Tuesday that further decisions in this case would be taken on Friday morning. Holidays have been declared in schools and colleges.

“We have arrested Mohammed Kashif, Syed Nadeem, Ashifullah Khan, Rehal Khan, Nehal and Abdul Afnan in connection with this case Prasad told reporters.

He said these people had previously lived together but now live separately. Kashif has several criminal cases against him. According to Prasad, a few more involved in this case and hunting have been launched to track them. Police officers said 12 more were detained and questionable but their role was not revealed.

Secretary General of the National BJP (Organization) BL Santosh accused Harsha killed by Jihadi fundamentalists for his opposition to the headscarf in educational institutions. Revenue Minister Karnataka R Ashoka said the murder had a relationship with the ongoing hijab row in the state. “This murder occurs when the hijab controversy starts. It is clear that there is a relationship between this murder and the hijab line,” Ashoka said.

Some Muslim girls from Udupi approached the Karnataka High Court when they allegedly denied getting into class with their headscarves.
