New Sri Lanka PM Wickremesinghe likely to give ‘full explanation’ of financial crisis today

Ranil Wickremesinghe, the new Prime Minister of Sri Lanka who was inaugurated last Thursday, is likely to speak to the country on Monday, in what will be the first national speech of the record of the sixth term of office as the Prime Minister of the island.

During the speech, Wickremesinghe will present a ‘full picture’ of the current Sri Lanka economic crisis, which has been the worst since 1948 when he gained independence from the British government.
