The Xiaomi 12 Lite shows off its design in newly leaked live images

The Xiaomi 12 series debuted at the end of last year as a family of three smartphones. Of this amount, Xiaomi 12x (above) acts as an affordable entry point for Xiaomi’s mainstay experience, with a lower price than her siblings even though it does not make too much sacrifice – the same design and internal silicon is only slightly tight. Xiaomi hasn’t finished this series, with more affordable options on the road, and today, we check the first photos of the cellphone in the meat.
We were looking at a series of images that first appeared in Weibo before spreading on Twitter. Xiaomi has developed lite editions from its flagship for several current generations, and although 12 lite can share their names with pricier options, hardware here is different in almost every important area, as revealed by previous leaks. The overall design is mostly the same, at least, with a camera module that looks familiar in the upper right corner adorns the plain back.
Unlike the model that features a premium metal frame, Xiaomi 12 Lite is seen going down to the same plastic route as the previous Xiaomi 11 Lite, maybe in an effort to keep the price down. Another significant change is the boxier design that is felt. We have seen many telephones taking inspiration from a flat build iPhone 12, including people like the Galaxy S22, and Xiaomi 12 Lite seem to only echo it too.
The leaky image also seeks to lend support for the existence of a 108MP camera, but don’t expect all raw pixels to produce a 50MP camera on Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, and 12x. We still have a lot of things we need to learn about Xiaomi’s plan for this hardware, and hopefully some new leaks will soon arrive to help perfect the image.
