PM Modi attributes success of Operation Ganga to India’s growing influence
Prime Minister Narendra Modi associated the success of ‘Operation Ganga’ – a mission to evacuate residents stranded in Ukraine who was torn war, with the influence of India which developed in the global arena.
PM made a comment while inaugurating the Golden Jubilee celebration from Symbiosis University in Pune. “We are evacuating thousands of Indians safely from the war zone through Ganga surgery,” Modi said as quoted.
“It was due to the influence of India which developed that it had brought thousands of students from the Ukrainian war zone back to their homeland,” he said.
Some major countries face vessels in evacuating their residents, he added.
On Saturday, the government in a statement said the Indian government operation Ganga flew 13,700 residents stranded in Ukraine which was hit by a war back safely. Special flights began last week.
